Rochelle and Ayaha: two impressive young women battling SM

I met Rochelle (a Taiwanese psychology student) and Ayaha (a Japanese philosophy student) in March 2018 when they attended a workshop on selective mutism that I taught in Hong Kong. They both have selective mutism. They became friends on the internet and met each other in person for the first time in my workshop. And now they have written a book about their struggles with SM! They are truly brave people who are not allowing their struggle with SM to limit them – they are studying, reaching out to strangers, traveling, and now courageously opening their hearts to share with others their experiences. I believe that they may yet help numerous others who are facing similar challenges.
