T. didn't speak during 3 years of Kindergarten. She was punished for not speaking & thoroughly misunderstood. After one home session, Ruth told the K staff that T. was a normal child! That was one of the happiest days of my life. Ruth worked with T. with professionalism and sensitivity and now T. is one of the biggest chatterboxes in her class!
D. (8) didn't speak to anyone in his school, cried daily, and was due to be placed in special-ed because everyone thought he had deep emotional problems. I for one did not believe we could turn the tide. But after our work with Psychologist Perednik, D. speaks to everyone in school, participates in everything, and is so much happier!
Yesterday (after our first one-on-one session) was beyond our best hopes. We appreciated your understanding, experience, guidance, and action plan.
David (5) has had meteoric progress, he talks in Kindergarten spontaneously, and is really blossoming! It is so very moving to see!
Over the last few years, we have been battling with Kindergarten and school staff and psychologists who were certain that D. was abnormal and needed to be in a special education institution. The moment that I saw D. talk to Ruth in a ball game they were playing together, I knew there was hope. (He had never spoken to a non-family adult before). Now, one year on, after therapy with Ruth in our home and his school, D. is thriving in a regular class. He speaks to everyone and excels in his studies. He is still shy, but he is a regular kid!
We were at a holiday party at the preschool and were so excited to see the change Nina has gone through. We were happy to see her participating, smiling, dancing with the other children, & enjoying herself. She has been making new friends and inviting them over. She has also shown an ability to absorb and learn what is being taught. We wanted to thank you & Hani, your therapist, for the amazing care Nina has received. It's great to see her so free and happy. Thank you so much.
I can't resist sharing my feelings of gratitude. I had a parents' evening in school last night for Lisa and she is doing so well - her current teachers can't believe that she has a history of selective mutism!! I can't thank you enough for helping us reach this point, even when it was so hard you never gave up!
Jenny has really enjoyed the therapy sessions and has started to flourish. Your therapist, Eli, is one of the most precious gifts we have received. Her approach, accompanied by your guidance, is amazing and the bond that has been created between Eli and Jenny is wonderful. May you continue to succeed and help many other children.

To see D open up and talk to friends is to see him come out of jail .... run and skip towards freedom.
M. (6) is not the same frozen, quiet girl who does not talk to anyone and looks at everyone with helpless eyes. Rather, an energetic, happy, and smiling girl, who talks to everyone, laughs, jumps, raves, and expresses herself clearly.
I wanted to thank Ruth Perednik for the excellent course. I have learned a lot and I feel I can really help children who suffer from selective mutism and communication disorders.
Thank you!
The course was fascinating, the combination of your pleasant personality with the clear and beautiful presentations created a course built in a gradual and thorough, and interesting way. Although I know the method through the book, it contributed a lot anyway and I really enjoyed it.
